Kent State Track and Field Camps

Track Camp Highlights:

  • Students can focus on different events including sprints, jumps, throws, pole vault, and distance running.
  • The provides up-to-date training techniques and helps campers develop their skills relating track and field.
  • Students have the opportunity to train with the help of experienced coaches and current athletes.
  • The camp enables participants to prepare for upcoming seasons and for participation in track and field events.

Participants: High school students and middle school students (varies depending upon the camp).

Iowa University Track and Field Camps

Track Camp Highlights:

  • Students can choose events for specialization including hurdles, sprints, throws, horizontal jumps, vertical jumps, and middle distance.
  • Students have the opportunity to work with Iowa track coaches and athletes.
  • Students have the chance to visit the campus and track facilities at the university.

Participants: High school students - males and females.

Grand Valley State University Track and Field Summer Camp

Track Camp Highlights (July 5th - 8th, 2015):

  • Technique sessions with interactive learning video analysis.
  • Competitive strategy instruction.
  • Drills, warm-ups and cool downs.
  • Lectures on nutrition, academics and recruiting.
  • Participants receive individual attention in sprints, hurdles, relays, long jump, high jump, triple jump, steeple-chase,
    middle distance and/or throws
  • Participants have the opportunity to work with nationally recognized coaches as well as Grand Valley State
    Student-Athletes

Participants: All high school boys and girls are invited to attend.

Grand Valley State University Cross Country Summer Camp

Cross Country Camp Highlights (July 19th - 23rd, 2015):

  • Train with runners from around the Midwest.
  • Learn from nationally recognized collegiate coaches on practical and technical aspects of the sport.
  • Communicate and interact with top level athletes and experts in training.
  • Footwear and gear presentation.
  • Nutrition and injury prevention.
  • Games and camp competitions.
  • Fun day activities and trips.

Participants: 7th grade - 12th grade boys and girls.

Location: Grand Valley State University - 1 Campus Drive - Allendale, Michigan

Cross Country Camp Information: Grand Valley State Cross Country Camp

Note: GVSU has an extremely successful running program that will help athletes excel. The Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams and Cross Country Teams have won conference, regional, and national titles. The GVSU teams have also produced many All-American athletes.

 

University Wisconsin Track and Field Camps

Track Camp Highlights:

  • Students work with experienced coaches and college athletes.
  • Students receive individualized attention to help them improve and enhance their skills in track and field events. The camp is designed to meet the needs of each camper.
  • Students have the opportunity to visit the athletics facilities at the university

Participants: High school students and middle school students - males and females (grades 8-12).

Location: Madison, Wisconsin.

Georgia Track and Field Summer Camps

Track Camp Highlights:

  • The camp is designed to provide training in a variety of events including cross country, distance, middle distance, sprints, hurdles, jumps and throws.
  • There is a residential and day camp option for students.
  • The camps are designed to participants of all ability levels and the instruction is geared to help all students improve their skills.
  • The camps include up-to-date techniques, video analysis, and in-depth instruction.
  • Students have the opportunity to receive instruction from experienced coaches and athletes.
  • Students have the chance to visit and train in a world-class facility.

Participants: High school students, middle school students, and kids.

Minnesota Track and Field Camps

Track Camp Highlights:

  • The camps are designed to teach important skills in a specialty track & field event or events.
  • Students have the opportunity to learn from experienced coaches and athletes.
  • The camps are intended to help students improve their skills in an enjoyable environment.
  • Students are exposed to techniques that are designed to help them improve their athletic abilities and their track & field performance.
  • There are residential and day camps.

Participant: High school students and middle school students.

Dick Fosbury Track Summer Camp

Track Camp Highlights:

  • The camp is designed to help students improve their athletic abilities and their track and field performance.
  • The camp is directed by Dick Fosbury, who is an Olympic Gold Medallist. Students receive coaching and instruction from experienced successful track and field coaches.
  • The camp provides individualized attention and instruction on current techniques.
  • Instruction and training are provided in events including sprints, hurdles, triple jump, high jump, discuss, shot put, middle distance, long jump, pole vault, javelin, hammer, and long distance.
  • Students have the opportunity to gain insight through video analysis and to learn about nutrition, visualization as well as other techniques to improve performance.
  • Residential and day camp options.

Participants: High school students, middle school students, and kids.

Location: Bowdoin College: Brunswick, Maine.

Lehigh University Track and Field Summer Camps

Track Camp Highlights

  • The camp includes technical instruction in track and field events, video analysis, and daily training sessions.
  • Campers have the opportunity to work with coaches from the Lehigh University Track and Field Team.
  • The camps have different challenges depending on the camp. The Track & Field and Cross Country elite camps have competitions to help campers get the most of the experience.
  • There are overnight and day camp options.

Participants: Overnight: High school students and middle school students (boys and girls ages 13 - graduating seniors).

  • Campers have the opportunity to work with North Carolina State track coaches and experienced athletes.
  • The camp focuses on technical instruction, instruction on mechanics, and training for increased performance in track events.
  • The camp provides speed development training for track as well as for all sports.
  • Campers have the opportunity to visit the North Carolina State campus and to use the athletic facilities.

Participants: High school students and middle school students (boys and girls ages 13 - 18).
